Well I can give you some good reason to stop smoking. Your health and your family’s health. One good way of quitting is to put your money for cigarettes into a jar, then spend that money on something you like. The point is to reward yourself for your achievement. At the same time, hopefully when you see how much money you are paying out to kill yourself, it will give you extra motivation to quit.
There are many ways to quit smoking. There are stop smoking pills, patches and even laser treatments. When it comes down to it, you have to want it enough to do it yourself. Finances are another area that improves immediately when a person stop smoking. The cost of a pack of cigarettes these days is astounding. The fact that smokers continue to pay it is proof of the strength of the addiction.
If you’ve been a smoker for many years, then you need to regain your health immediately. The average smoker spends $30 a week on their habit. That is over $1,500 a year. That is money that could be spent on much more constructive things or money that could go towards bills and life expenses.
If you don’t succeed on the first attempt, don’t give up. Your motivation needs to be strong. Think about it this way: if a smoker continues to the point they get one of the above mentioned diseases then they will have to spend money to treat these diseases. Also, smokers may have to pay more money for health and life insurance.
